What we test, and what we publish
Transparency only means something if it can be checked. This page explains how a batch moves from receipt to published documentation, what a Certificate of Analysis actually contains, and how to look one up.

Documentation is published per batch. A report for one batch does not apply to any other.
The batch number is printed on the vial label and repeated on the outer packaging.

From sourcing to batch release

1 — Sourcing and receipt
Material is obtained from a documented supplier. On arrival it is assigned a unique batch identifier which stays with it through every subsequent step. [ADD VERIFIED SOURCING AND SUPPLIER QUALIFICATION DETAIL]

2 — Sampling
A representative sample is drawn from the batch, sealed and sent to Janoshik Analytical, referenced to the batch identifier so the report can be matched back to the material it came from. [ADD VERIFIED SAMPLING PROCEDURE]

3 — Independent analysis
Janoshik Analytical performs the analysis using its own methods and instrumentation, and issues a Certificate of Analysis recording what it examined, the methods used and the results obtained. 4 — Review before release

The certificate is published on this website against its batch number, exactly as the laboratory issued it — not summarised, not retyped, not reduced to a single figure. Batches still awaiting a report are shown as such rather than left blank.
Testing laboratory
Analysed by Janoshik Analytical
Independent of PEP-T. No ownership either way.
PEP-T's analysis is carried out by Janoshik Analytical, an independent laboratory specialising in the testing of research compounds and one of the most widely used in this field.
Their published services include chromatographic purity analysis and mass spectrometry for identity confirmation, with sterility and endotoxin testing available separately. Which of these has been carried out on any particular batch is stated on that batch's certificate — that document, not this page, is the record of what was tested.
Janoshik has no ownership interest or commercial stake in PEP-T, and PEP-T has none in Janoshik.
Descriptions of the laboratory's services above reflect information Janoshik publishes about its own methods. PEP-T's results are published per batch, and only once they exist.
Being straight about what this does and doesn't prove
An independent laboratory removes the most obvious conflict — a supplier marking its own homework. It does not, on its own, prove much, because a supplier could still commission ten tests and publish one.
So the safeguard that actually matters is the second one:
- Independent lab
- No commercial stake in the outcome.
- Published in full
- The certificate as issued, not a figure quoted from it.
- Tied to a batch
- Every document matches a number on a vial.
PEP-T commissions and pays for its own testing, as any supplier does. We would rather say so plainly than imply an arrangement we do not have.
Our release specification
PEP-T releases material only where the analysis meets a minimum of 99% by HPLC. Batches that do not meet this specification are not released for supply.
This is a statement about the standard we hold ourselves to, not a claim about any particular batch. What a given batch actually measured is on its certificate, and the figures shown across this website are read directly from those certificates rather than typed in by us.
It also means the certificates published here are for batches we released. Where a batch failed specification it was not supplied, so no certificate for it appears in the catalogue. We would rather state that plainly than let the archive imply every batch we have ever tested is listed.
Documentation
What a Certificate of Analysis contains
General explanatory content — not a claim about any specific batch.
Sample identification
The name of the material analysed and the batch or lot number it came from.
Date of analysis
When the laboratory carried out the work, and often when the report was issued.
Laboratory identity
The name and address of the laboratory, and any accreditation it holds.
Analytical methods
Which techniques were used, for example chromatographic or spectrometric methods.
Results
What each method found, reported against the specification the laboratory was asked to test to.
Authorisation
The signature or authorisation of the person releasing the report on the laboratory's behalf.
How to read one
Start by checking that the batch number on the certificate matches the batch number on your vial. If they do not match, the certificate does not describe what you are holding. A certificate only ever describes the sample that was tested.

Reports are published exactly as issued by the laboratory. PEP-T does not edit, summarise or reformat them.
